Millberry Copper
From stripped cables, >99.9% purity
Millberry copper is one of the cleanest and highest-grade forms of copper scrap. It consists of fully stripped, bright reddish-orange copper wire, free from insulation, paint, lacquer, tinning and other foreign materials. It is commonly recovered from stripped rigid electrical cables used by electricians, installers and building professionals. Its high level of cleanliness means that very little additional preparation is required before recycling. At Bull Métal, Millberry must be clean and bright. Oxidised, tinned, lacquered, burnt wire or material containing insulation residues may be classified under another copper grade depending on its condition.

New Copper
New plumbing copper, Candy, flexible copper, braids, flat bars and clean dismantled copper
At Bull Métal, the New Copper category includes several clean copper grades that we purchase at the same rate: new plumbing tube offcuts, Candy copper, flexible bare copper wire, copper braids, electrical flat bars and clean copper recovered from dismantled electrical installations. Candy, internationally known as No.1 Heavy Copper, includes clean copper tubing, bars, flat sections and other heavy, unalloyed and uncoated copper solids. Flexible copper, braids and clean dismantled copper are commonly recovered from electrical installations, switchboards, control panels and high-power electrical equipment. At Bull Métal, these copper grades must be clean and free from insulation, steel, plastics, tin and other foreign materials. Oxidised, painted, tinned, soldered or contaminated copper may be classified under another grade depending on its condition.
